This is a commercial I made with my friend and classmate Nikki Ehmann. We created a commercial for Fender guitars. In it we used the advertising technique of appealing to viewers emotions. To achieve this we introduced the idea of a Fender guitar serving as a best friend, a companion, and an alternative to loneliness. We also used glittering generalities, using the emotion evoking value of friendship. From this commercial project, i learned the techniques that advertisers use to manipulate an audience into buying a product. This knowledge made me a more informed consumer. I also learned about camera angles, as well as about editing using imovie.
